Editing Task: Opening Scene

    Editing

I cropped some clips within our opening scene since there was a slight jitter as a pan shot was done and cutting it down ensured it looked cleaner. I used the crop tool to trim it, and went into precision editor to get a closer look and ensure that it was done accurately. Making sure not too little or too much was cut.

I then cropped the beginning of the clip where a tilt shot was done since there was a too long delay in how long it took for the character to stand. I again used precision editor to ensure it was done as accurately as possible.

Evaluation:

  • This task proved effective since it made the shots look more professional and clean cut.
  • Although fairly simple, it allowed for unnecessary footage to be edited out, and for the scene as a whole to run much more smoothly.
