Planning Deconstruction

Planning:

While planning our video we firstly read over the brief to ensure that we included everything necessary. We made sure it would be around 1-2 minutes, and ensured we would feature some key editing features such as match on action.

We discussed ideas and thought of a final plan of what we were going to do. We then presented out plan via a storyboard, splitting up each scene into sections and annotating them accordingly. Having this helped while filming since it abled us to have a clear vision of how we would film it/what we would do. Also taking away any possible confusion since we were able to follow it step by step.
In the plan we also included what diegetic and non-diegetic sound/dialogue we would use. As well as the camera angles and editing techniques we would use. This allowed not only the filming stage but the editing stage to be a lot easier. As well as this doing a plan allowed us to know what props we would need to bring in advance, ensuring that we were all organised and prepared for the filming.
This is the story board we created to allow us to know exactly what we needed to do in a clear and organised fashion.

Evaluation:

  • Overall our storyboard is fairly clear, although the drawings are fairly basic it is easy to follow.
  • It allows us to be organised and know exactly how each scene needs to be filmed, and avoids confusion as we do so.
