GCSE Production Company: Ganthrus Productions:

As well as looking at a professional production company sequence I also looked at a GCSE student made one. To look at a variety of different types of sequences.

The text used almost looks like blood dripping even though it is in black and white, which relates to the genre of the film as it was created for, a horror. Non diegetic sound of ominous music was also used as well as the sound of lightening, creating a creepy atmosphere.

The title then flashes backwards, into a mirrored image, which is a fairly sudden movement. Potentially foreshadowing events to come (jump scares etc.)

The title then flashes back to the original creating quite a quick sequences of events.

Evaluation:

• The production company sequence is very simple but effective, due to the text used. Since it suites the horror genre.
• The use of non diegetic music and the sound of lightening is also very effective.
• However it could have some colour in order to give the writing a better effect and make it stand out more, for example red, to represent blood.
