Production Company title

My own production company title

When planning what I wanted to include in my production company video, I decided I wanted to incorporate the theme of blood into it considering I was involving the video in the Slasher horror theme.

I decided I wanted to use someone's chest as I think this is a particularly vulnerable part of a body. The fact that I was trickling blood down someone's body ties in well with the over all theme and creates a creepy and gory effect.

Before filming, I mixed the fake blood with some water so that it would be a more realistic consistency and would be more appropriate to pour. I then smeared some of the blood onto her chest before filming to make it look like some damage had already been done.

I had two attempts at filming to get the right effect in the end. The first time filming, the main light was on and you could see the pot that I was pouring the blood from, which looked very unprofessional and bad quality.

First filming attempt:

After seeing the bad result of filming the first video, I had the idea to turn the lights off and use my phone flash as a light as I thought this would look more eerie and it would make the blood look shiny and therefore, more realistic.

Final Filming attempt:

My final Product:

The font I used was called 'Chiller'.  I think this looks like the effect of flicking blood or like somebody has smeared blood into text. This fits in very well with the theme. The music in the background is dramatic but I didn't want an overly 'creepy' sound as I didn't feel that would've looked or sounded professional.

Evaluation:
Overall, I'm happy with the final result. If I could do it again, I would spend more time finding the best technique of pouring the blood as I don't think it looks very realistic. Also, I would put up some kind of backdrop to make the bathroom tiles less visible as I feel as though they look very unprofessional. I think that things that went well include, a well thought out and appropriate lighting and I feel that the consistency of blood worked well.
