Makeup Inspiration:

In our film opening we will need to feature burn scars/wounds. So i have looked at the different burns makeup used in horror films in order to see what looks effective and the different styles we could do.

This Character is from the psychological thriller, 'Girl Interrupted'. Her character accidentally burnt her own face as a child. The makeup looks very realistic and effective, we could attempt to do burn scars similar to this on our killer to represent why they are on their 'revenge rampage'.

However it may be hard to make look realistic, so we will need to make a compromise if we can not do so.

Freddie Krugar, was burnt by the parents on Elm street. Clearly shown through his harshly scarred face. Although it does look very fake and unrealistic it still looks effective since it is a very clear representation, allowing the audience to see straight away why exactly he is doing what he's doing.

Evaluation:

• Although the makeup does look very effective it will be very hard to make look good.
• so we will have to research ways in order to do simple, but effective looking makeup.
