Costumes- burn victim's T-shirt

In the film opening, the girl that's exploring goes round the building and discovers a dead and burnt girl that's one of the killer's previous victims. The clothes that the dead girl is wearing must correspond to the situation and be burnt as well. In order to do this we had to burn an old big t-shirt. We decided to do this whilst at the location of the filming as it's a very open space and no harm could come to any of the surroundings around us.

In order to do this, we used 2 lighters and some matches. We wanted the t-shirt to look as realistically burnt as possible, so we put in it some mud as well, which gave it a charred effect. One person held the top in the air while 3 others burnt it and singed the top.









 As well as wearing the burnt oversized top, the victim also wore black leggings, which were not burnt and a black long sleeved top underneath the burnt top. Hair was made muddy and was tied back and the victims face was covered.
