Music Practical:
Previously I have done research regarding different types of non diegetic music/soundtrack. This was to gain inspiration in order to create a small piece on the application 'Garage Band' to play around and see different potential options of music, whether we make a piece together or use a suitable non copyright piece.
Firstly I looked at the different instruments and types of music available to use. I then went through each to find music that I believed to be suitable for a horror movie. I used one called 'night camp', relating to our own piece in order to have a subtle noise of a fire burning, a slight sense of foreshadowing.
I also used numerous sound effects and music that I deemed to be common in horror movies in order to conform to common conventions. For example using intense music rather than upbeat happy music since that would not be suitable and may confuse the audience. However it may be good since it could give a good sense of irony.

This screenshot shows the different types of music used, although not going for a supernatural/science fiction feel, some of the clips were still suitable for not only them but for other sub genres within the horror genre.
This section allows you to alter the pitch, wither you want the music to be higher or lower. I often raised the pitch in order to make it more appropriate for the genre.
The volume can also be altered, this is in order to perhaps strengthen tension or make the transition between pieces smooth since it is not a sudden beginning or end that seems misplaced.
It also allows for certain pieces to be more dominant and louder than others, since some may be small features that are not very noticeable. Since if everything was the same volume it may be difficult to make out everything and may become messy.

Evaluation:
- Overall I think the piece is suitable for the horror genre.
- However I do not think it sounds professional or very good, since it was created in a short amount of time and is fairly messy.
- I also believe it is too generic and may be better and more original if it did not conform to common conventions as much.
