Evaluation:
- Overall I think that the opening sequence is suitable for the genre 'psychological horror'.
- The colours used are dark, and the use of flickering when the names appear adds to this.
- The use of ominous, eerie music also conforms to the common conventions of this genre. It creates tension and allows the audience to know the genre from the non diegetic music.
- The colours are mostly dull however red is occasionally used, a possible representation of blood.
